EFCC Apprehends Former NDDC boss over N47 billion loot
Bennievibez reports that Nsima Ekere, an ex-managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly looting the government coffers to the tune of N47 billion.
Mr. Ekere, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was part of party operatives who screened aspirants for national assembly tickets over the weekend.
Bennievibez could not reach the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwajaren, for comment as his line was not connecting as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, the anti-graft agency on Monday arrested Ahmed Idris, Accountant General of the Federation over N80 billion fraud.
