Former Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has berated his successor Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Naija News reports that Yahaya has constantly clashed with Dankwambo over the handling of the state.
Inuwa had accused his predecessor of accruing huge debts without tangible capital projects to show for the money spent.
The governor had revealed that despite Dankwambo accruing huge debts the states are littered with uncompleted projects.
Reacting in a post on his Facebook page, the former governor advised Yahaya to face challenges before him head-on instead of constantly complaining.
According to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, the governor’s lamentation shows his inadequacy as a leader.
The ex-governor stated that anyone who presents himself or herself for leadership should be ready for challenges that come with that position.
Barely 4 days after it was attacked by suspected bandits, the Abolongo Correctional Facility located in Oyo town, Oyo State suffered an explosion on Tuesday afternoon.
Bennievibez gathered that the explosion which caused panic among residents of the area occurred outside the prison facility.
It was learned that the bomb which exploded was one of those planted by the gunmen during the Friday attack which refused to go off.
However, no casualties have been recorded and security operatives have paid a visit to the scene to assess the extent of the damage.
Ex-Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday, vowed to remain in the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Saraki while speaking on Arise TV said it would be unfair to think that he would dump the PDP for the All Progressives Congress.
Saraki while answering questions noted that he would reveal his intention at the right time ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The former Governor of Kwara State noted that he is currently focused on building a strong party and country.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied a report that some of its Adhoc staff have resigned ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.
In an interview with newsmen on Tuesday, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Nwachukwu Orji, said the report that the staff resigned for fear of their lives due to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)-linked attacks were false and baseless.
Speaking in his office in Akwa, the state capital, Orji added that the commission is still recruiting hundreds of Adhoc workers for the upcoming election.

6. Nnamdi Kanu: You Displayed Ignorance And Will Be Taught In The Language You Understand – IPOB Fires Back At Presidency
The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the statement by the presidency that the arrest of its leader will lead to an end of the group.
The group said contrary to what the president thinks about the group, the Nigerian government has committed an international offense by arresting Nnamdi Kanu and repatriating him back to Nigeria.
It added that the presidency displayed a high level of cluelessness and ignorance by assuming that the arrest of its leader will automatically result at the end of the group’s agitations.
IPOB in its statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful further stated that it will drag the Nigerian government before the International Criminal Court (ICC) where they will be taught “in the language they understand.”
The separatist group made the submissions in a direct reaction to an earlier statement by the presidency through the President’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu in which the government described IPOB as delusional, adding that the arrest of Kanu will lead to the demise of the group.

8. UN ‘Demands Urgent Explanation From Nigeria, Kenya Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Illegal Arrest, Extradition’
The United Nations has reportedly expressed outrage over the manhandling and maltreatment which the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was subjected to while being detained in Kenya and has issued ‘urgent appeals’ against Nigeria and Kenya over Kanu’s rendition.
The brother to the separatist agitator, Kingsley Kanunta, who disclosed this on Tuesday, said he had undertaken a series of urgent steps within the realm of the international community, particularly in Britain and the United Nations in the last three months.
BNVBlog recalls that the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice had insisted that the Federal Government followed due process in the re-arrest and repatriation of Kanu from Kenya to face his trial in Nigeria.
Kanunta has now revealed that he had worked quietly with his brother’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, and the Bindmans (Kanu’s lawyers in Britain) on a host of muscular interventions aimed at presenting the case to the international community, facilitating his unconditional release and bringing the culprits of the illegal rendition to account.
He explained in a statement on Tuesday that these interventions were kept secret because the applicable rules, especially that of the United Nations, required them to be kept confidential for 60 days.
Following the expiration of the 60 days and the United Nations had therefore made public the details of its ‘Urgent Appeals’ to the Nigerian and Kenyan Governments, which were transmitted since August 26, 2021.
Former President of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has revealed that some big wigs in the ruling All Progressive Congress are preparing to join the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to a resident of the area, the attackers stormed the community on motorcycles and went straight to the mosque, before shooting the worshippers at closed range.
But in a tweet via his Twitter page on Tuesday, Sani revealed that the shutting down of telecommunication services in the North West has become ineffective.
The lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate asserted that the Federal Government has run out of ideas in tackling banditry in the North West.
